The room is brightest before noon. Croissants leave the oven near seven; the first pour-overs follow soon after.
05 — VISIT
Arrive on foot from the High Street, or by tube to Bond Street or Baker Street and a short walk north. There is no customer parking on the row; nearby garages and street bays serve the neighbourhood.
Afternoon
The window seats catch the longest light. A good hour for filter coffee, a financier, and an unhurried conversation.
Evening
After five we hold a few tables by request. Walk-ins are still welcome when the room allows — evenings are quieter, with softer service.
We sit on a quiet stretch of Ambergate Row, a few minutes from Marylebone High Street. Look for the tall windows and the brass handle that still clicks the way it did when this was a stationer's shop.
